When the winter time approaches, anticipation of my most beloved holiday begins. Christmas breakfast is one of my favorite family traditions. Every year on Christmas day, at the crack of dawn, my family gathers at my uncle’s house to open presents, laugh over stories, spend quality time together and, of course, eat a special homemade breakfast.

Our favorite holiday dishes wouldn’t be possible without ingredients like milk, cream and eggnog, and I love to use products from Oak Farms ® Dairy. Knowing that Oak Farms is family farmer owned, many who have run their family farms for generations, makes me feel connected to them with my own family traditions.

Neil Hoff Dairy in Windthorst, TX, is one of those family farms I had the pleasure of getting to know, and provides milk used to make Oak Farms products. Today, in partnership with Oak Farms Dairy and Dairy Farmers of America, I’m putting a spin on the Hoff Family’s Special Turnovers recipe. This is a dish they enjoy around the holidays. Using Oak Farms Eggnog to create a version of a Hoff Family favorite makes this recipe even more special.

Make your holidays a little more merry and bright by adding this Cherry Turnover French Toast recipe using ingredients from family-owned dairy farmers to your table. Make sure to visit your local grocery store to find the Oak Farms brand.
