Bring Your Own Cocktail

March 13, 2018

This past weekend I was out in Austin chasing dreams and drinks. I've been following BYO Cocktails on social media for a while, and have been curious to taste these tempting cocktails for myself. The company was started by a female duo in DC making their own mark in Women's History. Shayla and Amanda's cocktails are made in small batches using locally distilled alcohol.

Don't let the size full you. These individual sized premixed cocktails pack a punch with 15% alcohol by volume. When poured into a glass over ice you see that you get a really good sized cocktail comparable to any bar cocktail.

I'm not a big gin fan so my friend Dhyana tried the Zen & Juice Cucumber on my behalf. It was perfect because earlier that day she talked about wanting a refreshing gin cocktail with a bit of cucumber and that's just what she got. She really enjoyed this cocktail. I tried the District Mule which is their version of a Moscow Mule. It was refreshing but with that slight bite that is a signature characteristic with ginger mule drinks. I also tried the C-Suite Margarita which was my personal favorite. It put me in the mood to Fiesta with the tequila lime freshness of this cocktail. The drinks are all smooth, good as is and will get any party started right. I could also see these drinks as enhancers to other drinks such as punches, sangrias and well the possibilities are really endless. These drinks are ideal for BYOB Establishments, Parties, Girl's Night, Game Night, Sports Kick Backs, Gifts, and the list goes on.

Right now these drinks can be found at several locations throughout the Washington DC area. You can find those locations here. I'm hoping they will be able to expand to markets in the DFW area so that I can continue to enjoy them. Show them some love and sign up on their e-mail list to see where they will pop up next. You never know. They just might be at a location near you next.
